McKnight graduated from the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in December 1974 and has been licensed to practice law in the State of Texas since May 9, 1975. Since 1981, she has been Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. While the woods are full of "litigators," McKnight is a tried and true trial attorney with more than 100 jury trials behind her. She settles over 80% of her cases because the opponent knows to a certainty that absent a fair settlement, he or she will be facing McKnight in Court. The McKnight philosophy remains: Settle it if you can, try it if you need to, but don't compromise your client for convenience. Keith D. Beckergraduated from the Western New England College of Law in 1990 and was licensed by the Texas Supreme Court in 1992. He joined the McKnight firm as an associate and worked with Mary D. McKnight from 1992 through 1996, becoming Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in 1998. Becker and McKnight have successfully tried and negotiated many major cases together and still team up regularly.Elizabeth D. McCarter is the proudest member of the Fightin' Texas Aggie Class of 2011. She began interning with The Law Office of Mary D. McKnight the summer after her junior year at Texas A&M University, and has spent her senior year working as a paralegal and office manager. After graduation, she plans on pursuing a career in the legal field.
